PAINT CORRECTION

Paint correction is the fine art of delicately restoring and rejuvenating paintwork using a machine polisher to level the vehicle's clear coat.  Varying cutting compounds and polishing pads are utilized to remove surface imperfections such as micro-scratches, swirls, scuffs, holograms, and bird drop etching to restore depth and gloss to your vehicle's paint, leaving it crystal clear and highly reflective.

The actual corrective process involves a small amount of clear coat being manipulated and removed from the paint's surface with abrasive polishes used in combination with a cutting pad and a polishing machine. Appropriate preparation must be taken to ensure all loose and embedded contaminants are removed before starting the process to avoid further damage. We also employ the use of a paint depth gauge, which measures the thickness of the paint, to monitor how much material is being removed throughout the process. This is important as some scratches or imperfections may be too deep or severe to safely correct without the risk of removing too much clear coat.

Paint correction is both labor intensive and intricate, often making it the most time consuming part of the car detailing process.
